Twelve teams. Twenty-four bowlers gathered on Saturday, August 28th for the annual Veteran/Novice Tournament. The goal is to match experienced bowlers with newer members who may have never bowled in a tournament.
Four short random six-end draw games were played, followed by a playoff between the top four team.
Jeff Covel and Lora Hammersmith grabbed 1st place by defeating Rand Coburn and Adrian Jarreau. In the next rink over, Richard Krueger and Pam Odle secured 3rd place with a win over Rodger Green and Philip Salmon.
New bowler Paul Artman won over the hearts and stomachs of the entire crew by showing up with coffee, donuts and libations.
